Single cab shortbed kits are in stock and ship within 3 business days at $939, 3M tape, promoter and continental U.S. shipping included. Tahoe 2dr is the same price.

Every other body is cut to order at the price shown. The dually is the one exception — $500 down and Mako confirms your price before anything else is charged.

What’s in a kit: two front fender pieces, two door pieces, two cab corner pieces, and your bed pieces.

How it comes: machined and semi-polished, ready to run as-is — or ready for powder coat or paint if you want it your own way. Sand it 1000 then 3000, buff it with a wheel, and it comes out like glass.

The fine print

Refunds and cancellations

You have 7 days from the date of payment to cancel your order.

In-stock kits (single cab shortbed, Tahoe 2dr): cancel within 7 days for a refund less a 3% restocking fee.

Cut-to-order kits: cancel within 7 days for a refund less a 3% restocking fee, provided we have not begun machining. Once machining has begun, your kit is cut for your specific truck and cannot be resold, and the order can no longer be cancelled. We will contact you before we start.

Dually deposits: your $500 is refundable in full within 7 days. After that it is applied to your build.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically post within 5 to 10 business days.

Lead times. In-stock kits ship within 3 business days of payment. Cut-to-order kits are machined in the order received and we will contact you with a timeline. We do not guarantee a delivery date.

Orders are subject to acceptance. We may decline or cancel any order, including one placed at an incorrect price or against an incorrect description. If we cancel, you are refunded in full.

Fitment is your responsibility. Kits fit 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC trucks in the body listed, and you are responsible for selecting the correct year and body. If your truck has been modified, sectioned, or carries non-factory body panels, contact us before ordering — fit is not guaranteed on modified vehicles.

What you receive. Kits are machined from billet aluminum and ship semi-polished, ready to run as-is or ready for polish, powder coat or paint. They are not mirror-polished, anodized or coated. Minor variation in machining marks and finish is normal in a machined part. 3M tape and promoter are included.

Installation. Kits attach with automotive-grade adhesive tape and depend on correct surface preparation. You or your installer are responsible for installation. We are not responsible for paint or trim damage caused by installation or removal, or for loss resulting from improper installation.

Shipping. Shipping within the continental United States is included in the price. We do not ship outside the U.S. Kits ship from Lafayette, Louisiana in a protective tube. Inspect your kit on delivery and report shipping damage within 48 hours with photographs.

Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a kit is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Mako Machine Services LLC is an independent manufacturer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by General Motors, Chevrolet or GMC. Those names are used only to identify vehicle fitment. Site content, images and the Mako name are the property of Mako Machine Services LLC. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.

Privacy

What we collect. The order form collects your name, cell phone number, email address and delivery ZIP code, and, while online payment is paused, your shipping address. When online payment is available, PayPal collects your payment details and shipping address during checkout — we never receive or store your card number.

Why we collect it. To take and ship your order, to contact you about it, and to send you the news and offers described below (by text only if you tick the text box).

How we contact you. By placing an order you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message or email about your order.

News and offers. We may email you about new products, restocks and offers. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We only send marketing text messages to customers who ticked the box on the order form — if you did, reply STOP to any message to stop them. We record the date you gave that permission and the exact wording you agreed to.

Who we share it with. PayPal, to take payment, and the shipping carrier, to deliver your kit. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

Tracking. This page runs no advertising pixels, no analytics and no third-party tracking of any kind.

How long we keep it. We keep your details for your order, for our business records, and so we can tell you about new products later. You can ask us to delete them at any time by calling or emailing us, except where we are required to keep a record of a completed sale.
